Teaching Home School Curriculum?

Question:
Anyone familiar with this curriculum? They have $95. for 6 CD's recording
many books.
Answer:
-no, but if you read the blurb we just received, they spend 5 hours a
day on their curriculum!!!!! Who has that amount of time, or actually
needs to spend that amount of time in actualy study work.
-Yes. I've recently purchaced the Robinson Curriculum and am planning to
homeschool my 6 and 8 year old this year. The CD's contain his ideas
about how children learn best and why the public schools are failing our
kids.
The books on the CD's are good literature and many are hard to find in
print. ( Although, I have found quite a few in used book stores) The
CD's also contain some exams and a suggested Books to Buy list. He
believes kids need to work primarily on reading ,writing, and math and
learn about all other subjects by reading about them. He recommends
encyclopedias, etc.
Personally speaking: I have seen in only two years of public schooling, my
son has begun to expect nothing from the school, and actually resents
having to work at learning now. He expects it all to be short and sweet.
His attention span has DECREASED since his years in a Montessori
pre-school and Kindergarten. It was enough for me to start looking around
for something better.
