Can homeschool curriculum incorporate Christian values and ideas?
|
Question:
One reason I want to homeschool my son is that I do not want to separate
learning from Christian values and teachings.
Do the curricula you use incorporate Christian values? If so, how?
These are obviously very basic questions, but please remember that I
attended public school where the expectation is that one must leave their
Christianity at the door (which still strikes me as a very odd
expectation).
Answer: -Most any Christian curriculum would incorporate Christian
values. Some are Abeka, Bob Jones, Weaver, Konos, Christian
Liberty, and many more. They do this by Bible reading,
Christian and moral stories in reading, true histroy (the God
oriented one), science that shows the works of God, language
exercises using Christian topics, math problems centered around
Christian topics.
-Check out the Weaver Curriculum- it is a great example of integrating
the two.
