Pen pals?

Question:
Does anyone know where to find an internet pen-pal service for kids? I
thought it would be easy to find one, but all my hits were for lonely adults
looking for dates!
I'd like to find one for my 8-year-old, to practice composing and typing
letters. Domestic would be fine, but a foreign one (for learning about
geography, and practicing foreign language) would be great if they can write
in English, French, or German.
