Classical Homeschool

Question:
I would love to hear from anyone who homeschools
following the classical education model. Do you use
a prepared curriculum? How closely do you hold to
the classical model? Is it hard for a parent to
assemble their own curriculum?
The progression of grammar, dialectic, and rhetoric
has always made sense to me. How does it work in
real life?
A curriculum advertisement I just received says this:
"It must be noted and admitted that this pattern is
not currently popular because it is not quick or
painless." I think that this must be an understatement.
Some time ago somebody was talking about a Classical
mailing list. Does anyone have information about
that?
I'm most interested in hearing from advocates of
classical education. I hope there are some out there!
