Question:
is there any one out there who can give us info on a non religious
oriented homeschool program?
we are fed up with the public schools and educators who tell us they have
better things to do than to mess with us parents. public education is
slowly going down the tubes.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: - Mary Pride sells a huge three volume book that lists all the providers and it
is worth every penny. Your local library might have an old copy. It's called
the "Big Book of Home Learning." We used Christian Liberty which publishes
some of it's own materials and Abeka; both are Christian providers.
- Try Clonlara school in Michigan--Pat Montgomery is the contact. Call
directory assistance for Michigan to get the number.
- just make it up as you go along. get lots of books at the
library every week and have the kid read the books. beyond
that you don't need much structure. for math, you can buy
exercise books in any school supply store.
