Montessori materials for homeschooling

Question:
My child is in a Montessori school now, but we may have to take her out and do the homeschool thing. Does anyone know of a way to get Montessori materials for use at home? Maybe even used ones - new materials can be VERY expensive.

Answer:
Try http://www.primenet.com/~gojess/mfm/mfmhome.htm The site states: "Montessori for Moms is a collection of many of Sibyl Carroll's most requested training guides for home schooling using the Montessori teaching method. These complete lesson plans are suitable for both home schooling and classroom teaching.

MFM presents detailed lesson plans in outline format, making use simple and easy.

It provides detailed instructions for making many of the Montessori teaching materials yourself using common household items and readily available crafts materials."

Hope this helps. I have no personal experience with Montessori. Our award winning web site has four online newsletters which are chock full of information pertaining to online resources, software reviews, Montessori materials reviews, book reviews plus you'll find links to other web sites and invaluable resource information for homeschoolers. We are delighted to provide all of this free resource information for parents and teachers.
