Home school SUPPORT website?

Question:
I don't know about you other home school folks, but I would dearly love to have a Home School SUPPORT website. One that is clearly dedicated to those of use who are already in favor of the educational choice we've made for our family. I had thought that this newsgoup I am posting to would be uplifting. I do not have the heart to have to defend daily, my deeply held conviction that home school is right for us. It's demanding enough to defend our choice to the community of family, friends and neighbors, by the way we live out our choice. An ongoing debate was not what I had in mind. Anyone know of one already up and running, or do we need to start one?

Answer:
- This website IS supposed to be for those persons already homeschooling, planning to homeschool or are interested in homeschooling. I also might add that this website is for CHRISTIAN homeschoolers. That does not mean that non-Christians are not welcome here because they most certainly are welcome but it does mean that the non-Christians should have enough respect to not put offensive or objectionable messages on here. I agree that debating the choice of educational options really does not have a place here. I would think that most of us come to this website to learn about new resources, ask for advice and to obtain support in general from other homeschoolers who understand what issues we face regarding homeschooling. Just my opinion folks. I do not bother reading the long winded debates; I merely hit the "Mark all messages in thread read".

- I think this is a GREAT idea. As best I can tell, there isn't a website specifically targeted toward support for those already hs'ing. I believe this would be the place to suggest consideration of a proposal to start a new group. Should it be moderated? Should it remain in the "big 8", more specifically, in "misc.*"? Has this been tried before (namely, unsuccessfully)? Is the issue of trying to have a m.e.h-s.c group free from needing to defend hs'ing already covered in the charter for this website? Just exactly where IS the charter for this group?
