software program for transcript production.

Question:
I am looking for a software program, that mirrors those at higher academic
institutions, for transcript production. I have found that most colleges do
prefer a transcript that is concise and professional. I find it difficult to
believe, that in this mecca market of homeschool resources, that a decent
transcript software program has not been developed. anyone tell me??
Answer:
I couldn't find one when I was looking for one a few months ago. I did find a complete
home education record keeping program that did transcripts. I decided it was too
expensive for just transcripts. Someone at our church gave us a copy of the transcript
they made for their son. Using Excel, I created a one page transcript like theirs.
It has basic school information (name, address), student information (name, address), and
course information by year (title, course grade, and credits for each course), and an
"official" signature (mine as principal/father). I printed this out on very high quality
paper and printed out the envelop addresses on a laser printer also. The result was that
this was accepted at both colleges where our son applied for admission (University of
Houston and Wharton County Jr. College) and he was admitted to both.
