home school vs. public school socialization
|
Question:
My children were always home schooled until this past year when I put
them in school for one year following my divorce. Now, I am in a
position to return to home schooling and the children are looking
forward to it, but my ex-husband has decided that he objects on the
grounds of lack of "socialization." Our children have always tested far
above average academically, and in my judgement, are articulate and well
adjusted. They are bored in school and want very much to come home
again, but their father is objecting and is taking me to court to
prevent a return to home schooling.
I am looking for any research on home schooling and socialization,
gifted children and socialization, and/or the benefits of home schooling
for gifted children.
can you tell me?

If you're not already an HSLDA member, it would be well worth it to join
now, especially if you think your ex-husband may attempt legal action.
