Home Schooling in New Jersey?
|
Question:
I have a lot of questions about home schooling - I live in New Jersey
and was hoping that someone could tell me how you get started with this!?
Answer: The following information has been obtained from Growing Without
Schooling magazine 2000 Directory, 2380 Massachusetts Avenue, Suite 104,
Cambridge, MA 02140. 617-864-3100. http://www.holtgws.com.
(My favorite magazine and they have a great homeschool catalog also.)
HOMESCHOOLING ORGANIZATIONS:
Some of these groups are statewide (look for the state name in the
group's title as an indication) and are likely to have information about
state laws or regulations, and may have conferences and packets of
information for new homeschoolers. Other groups are local support groups
that are likely to have meetings and activities. Both state and local
groups may have newsletters. Try getting in touch with a state group
even if it's far away from where you live; many state groups can refer
you to families, or smaller support groups, in your immediate area.

If you will send you me your town/state/ZIPcode, I will search the

groups or families near you. (Since the directory is arranged by
zipcode, please don't leave it off.)
