Teaching Spanish
|
Question:
I am looking for a good CD for my five year old to begin learning
Spanish. I saw one at the last homeschool conference I went to but
wasn't looking at the time and didn't take note.
Although she is only 5, Anna reads quite well and is very eager to learn
other languages.
Answer: -We like All-in-One-Language Fun, a CD which includes English, Spanish,
German, Japanese, and French. Lots of simple games help to them to speak
(no written work), but there are sequels in each language that we haven't
tried yet.
Toy's R Us has it, as well as Timberdoodle.
-I represent HomeQuest which has a Spanish course that is a combination of CD
Rom, audio tapes and book. It is meant for children age 10 and up, but if
your child already reads, I'm sure she could get a lot out of this. The CD
offers three levels: easy, medium and hard. It comes with an electronic
dictionary and includes nine game-like tests. I would be happy to send you
a brochure.
I also represent Usborne Books, and we have a set that is called First
Thousand Words in Spanish. It is for children ages 2 - 12. It includes a
tape, workbook, dictionary and phonetic pronunciation guide.
