Question:
I was wondering if any of you have good sites you use for
worksheets/printables? I have a small list that I have used before, but
they really seem to be geared towards pre-school to about 4th grade. If any
of you know of sites with printables for 4th grade up I would really enjoy
hearing about them!
Answer: -I have not checked this out, just saved it. (My kiddo is not the
worksheets sort of kid.)
http://www.freeworksheets.com/
-I've been on the same search myself, except I've been watching for
sites for a 5th grader. Here's what I've come up with so far:
Houghton Mifflin Education Place
@http://www.eduplace.com/kids/index.html
has Mad-Lib (parts of speech game) like "Wacky Web Tales" and lots
of activities.
You can find fun interactive math @ aaamath.com
We just downloaded alot of grammer worksheets (for FREE) from
http://www.dailygrammer.com/archive.html
You can pay some money to have them e-mail you a sheet daily..OR
follow the "archive" link, punch up the lesson and print it. These are
very uncolorful, straight forward text sheets...exactly what my artist
child prefers.
We found lots of math, history, science K-12 sites at Cedar Grove
Elementary School @ http://www.do.esd.k12.caus/Cedar%20Grove
(of course, they also have their schools PTA news and such)
Homeschool Central has links to other sites and articles
FUNSCHOOL @ http://www.funschool.com/game.php?section=g6
has lots of colorful educational and just plain silly activities organized
by grade level.
I've found most of these sites by following links on other sites. I copy
down the web address displayed when I find one I like. When I try to
return to them directly I am sometimes unsucessful (I have no idea why)
and end up typing the name of the site in a web "search" to get there.
