Homeschooling my H.S. girl
|
Question:
I am an Oregon parent who has been disabled by a heart
condition. I want to home school my kids as they go into H.S. as we have a
bad 'skinhead' problem in our local school. I need help in finding out how
to start, and where to find a low-cost[read free- or semi free] source for
curriculum supplies.
Answer: -A couple of good places for Oregon homeschoolers to get information include:
The Oregon Home Education Network:
http://elaine.teleport.com/~ohen/homepage.htm
and by signing on to ORSig, the Oregon homeschooling e-mail loop. You can do
that by following the directions at the end of this message.

-The public libaray is a source. There are many books at the library lit,
math, writing, history. You do not need a textbook to learn these subjects,
especialy by the time the children are in high school. My son is reading
Asomiv's(sp) "History of the world" for World History and it has more info
than any textbook
