Used Homeschool Books?

Question:
I'm new to homeschooling and I was wondering if anyone had any used homeschool books or kits that they wanted to sell at a pretty good price? I am interested in the Alpha Omega and Saxon kits. I also looked into Abeka, but when I went to their website I was so confused, I was not sure exactly what I needed out of all those books. I will be homeschooling my son for first grade, but he still doesn't know how to read so I think I need to start with phonics on a kindergarten level. I thought maybe the kits would be better since they are a complete curriculum for each subject and have the teachers manuals with them. Also, I would like to hear what other curriculum other homeschoolers are using.

Answer:
- I am so pleased with the Sing, Spell, Read & Write program. I plan to using it again when I have grandchildren. You can visit Sing, Spell, Read & Write at http://www.singspell.com/

- I have just started homeschooling this year. I am using the Calvert School program. www.calvertschool.org I am VERY pleased with it. It is not inexpensive, however, but very easy to use. You can email me with specific questions about it if you would like.

- I have been home-schooling for 5 years. I have used Sonlight-Curriculum for 4. It is inexpensive and well rounded, missionary oriented and a real pleasure to use. Check out their link at: www.sonlight-curriculum.com
